Thanks Shindler Drive Team

We can't thank this team enough for sponsoring our graduation.

It was a long ceremony in really hot weather... but everyone helped without complaining. Everybody was holding a little one at some point through the morning. And I think after looking through the photos that Wanna managed to sit & be held by every single one!

Not only did they provide the things necessary to make the service special... they also got everything ready. They ironed gowns, sized & handed them out, wrapped gifts, wrote notes in the Bibles they presented, baked cakes & prepared refreshments, and generally helped set up & organize.

Each graduating 5th grader was presented with a Bible and a "Diploma" or Certificate of Completion & Promotion.
It was very emotional for all of us. David was proud as a papa to see Marie Joe, now 18, achieving this accomplishment and growing into the beautiful young woman that she is. He has watched her grow up since he met her when he 1st came to Haiti when she was just 8 years old.

The teachers were recognized and presented with a gift of an English Bible....

... and treated to a reception with refreshments to thank them for all their hard work !

Graduation

Graduation and Promotion for the Cabaret Baptist School is held in June at a Sunday morning worship service. Everyone gets a moment (or many moments for some!) in the spotlight.

The June school graduation and promotion ceremony was a huge event for us. I want to share some photos of this big day over several posts... it is just too big to post all at once!
Everyone puts on their best Sunday dress clothes for this special event.

Pastor Nathan even wears his white preaching suit!

It is a very emotional day for me and I'm looking a little wilted... besides the fact that it's over 100 degrees!

There is singing....

...skits & acting...
... lots of dancing...
... and of course, musicians big & small !
Everybody comes to this exciting, joy-filled day to see these precious children have their day.

Our team sponsors this wonderful event and makes sure the day is special. They provide programs, certificates, gifts for teachers, caps & gowns for graduates and much more. One especially cherished memory from the day is the presentation of Bibles by the team to the graduating 5th graders.
